Aluminum wheels are the visual focal point of a vehicle, demanding a coating with mirror-like gloss, uniform leveling, scratch resistance, and resistance to brake dust corrosion. Meanwhile, OEMs increasingly request personalized colors, making color change efficiency a direct determinant of line profitability. Powder coating can form a complete film in a single coat, replacing multiple liquid painting steps, but must solve the challenges of orange peel control at high gloss and rapid switching between multiple colors.

Core Electrostatic Spraying Equipment: High-Precision Digital Gun System
Equipped with automatic electrostatic spray guns featuring DVC (Digital Valve Control) and PCC (Precise Current Control) technology with current resolution ≤1 µA, precisely regulating powder charge and atomization pattern. This eliminates electrostatic shielding at spoke edges, achieving a DOI (Distinctness of Image) value ≥85 at a film thickness of 60–90 µm. Six-axis explosion-proof coating robots integrated with 3D laser vision automatically recognize bolt holes and spoke gaps, with adaptive trajectory adjustment to overcome orange peel and bare spots.

Rapid Color Change Powder Supply Center
Adopts a movable dual-booth system with dense-phase pump conveyance. The booths switch on rails: while one booth is spraying, the other automatically cleans and refills with new powder, completing a color change cycle in ≤5 minutes. Powder recovery via a large cyclone and high-efficiency filter achieves 98% closed-loop utilization, with residual powder per color change <5 g to avoid cross-contamination.

Curing System
Uses a hybrid infrared + hot-air convection curing oven, holding at 180–200 °C for 12–15 minutes, ensuring full flow and crosslinking of the high-gloss coating.
